Fetch I don't think you've appreciated how those Traffic Lights will become monsters - the fact that you can lose them if you don't visit doesn't change the fact that the next player inherits the monster value.
Example - one traffic light gets hit 4 times per day for 30 days: Point value at the end of day 30 is 480, and the owner would have earned that month 29,040 points.
Same light after 180 days, point value is 2,880. Total points earned by owner over the half year is 1,038,240.
These point values are way out of proportion to the other markers. So in my example of the popular London route of the Embankment, the two Lights there are already worth 80 points in total, more than you can expect to pick up in points from the rest of the run. And those Lights will carry on costing more and more each day, in perpetuity, whoever owns them?

Query about flowers ... do we know by how much a flower's value increase when it is watered? And do you get a score just by the act of watering it, like in the old rules? There is no column in the leaderboard, so I assume not.
From the guide: Each flower planted earns a point. Once every seven days you can return to water it, which increases its value, up to a maximum of 20 points ... By my understanding, it can get watered after 1 week, 2, 3, 4 and 5 weeks, so how will it reach a value of 20, given that it will only be watered at most 5 times before being harvested

R4R had the same thoughts depending on whether planting day is day 1 and then you can water every 7th or 8th day then the max you can get is either 6 or 7 points per flower. Furthermore going back to Fetch original points matrix it stated " If the last visit was at least seven days ago flower value is increased by ......., my interpretation of that is if you pass over the flower on day 5 it is not watered and there is no points increment and it will be day 12/13 before any further points can be added therefore if a flower is on a favorite route and you pass over it every few days then it will never increase in value. As I say this is my interpretation and the actual algorithm being used will be different from the original matrix perhaps Fetch can give us some indication on this?

Typing mistake in last post final bit should read
' the actual algorithm being used could be different from the original matrix perhaps Fetch can give us some indication on this?'

I had assumed that planting on day one, it became available for watering on day 8 - passing over it on day 5 (say) did not water it, but did not delay its earliest watering day either. Equally, if it was first watered later than day 8 (say day 20) it would be available for watering again 7 days later (on day 27)
This is just my reading of the guide, but no doubt we'll find out later in the week when the first flowers become waterable

R4R the new guide is slightly different from the matrix that Fetch original put up on this blog so we'll wait and see what happens. I've deliberately left an 'unpassed' flower close to another that I've passed over to see what happens.

Yippeee! Plus points - even if it is only +39 and I'll probably be minus again tomorrow.

It's going to take a while to get used to the new scores.

Mick is almost correct about the relay. Teknik may only have moved the relay by one mile - but if it was already 10 miles from its starting point, the earnings would be 11x4. Thus the further a relay travels, the greater it's worth.
Just to reiterate (and please help me by sharing this with subsequent posters), no coding changes til Thurs. I'm away with My Good Friend And Training Partner for a couple of days
