I am a lone player in my area so I do look at the map, try and move the bugs about. Its only when I venture out of my area that I really pick up decent points.

On the privacy side of things, you only need a race photo or time and it's fairly easy to get someone's real name, so I don't think that Fetchpoint has particular privacy issues compared to other activity on the site.

I realise this may not be possible but when I look at my account and see "X picked a flower ..." I'd like to be able to see from where the flower was picked.

I'm another rural user who can't access most of the areas. Could we have the option of either having all our things within a 1 mile circle of our homes, or spread over 3 miles but accessible by roads? (The routes page suggest that data is available). The size of our home circles could still be 1 mile (for flowers/bug killing) and if only 75% of the usual area is available in 3 miles of road we should only get 75% of the bugs/coins/etc. Letting people select this themselves works for everyone.
I would change bugs so they don't just sit there doing nothing. Could then last for only 10 days and increase their value each day (i.e., a bug worth costs you 50 is worth 50 on the first day, 100 on the second day .. to 500 on the 10th day then it dies). This would give us a bigger incentive to get rid of them early, but without them hanging around for ever. I think fewer bugs but higher penalties (i.e., introduce 1 per day, but for higher amounts) would increase the incentive to get rid of them. As it is I end up with so many it's hardly worth the point of trying to be bug-free.
Similarly, fewer coins but more high value ones would be good. Perhaps making them bronze (60%), silver (35%) and gold (5%) would be useful so we can see which ones are worth hunting without having to click on each one (which I can never bother doing).

I haven't used Fetch for quite a long time. I really enjoyed playing games like Fetchpoint but it just got to be too much hassle to enter my routes. Either manually or having to use a third party app on my phone, save to the another website, download to my pc and then re-upload to fetch.
The one thing that would undoubtedly bring me back to Fetch would be the ability to use the gps on my phone and save my routes directly to this website. I realise that that is probably not anywhere near the horizon but I live in hope.

Trouble with that is, once flowers are picked, they're gone from the map! I guess it's a bit like trying to code for overnight gains/losses in Conquercise: you're trying to code the location of something that was once there but isn't any more.

Exactly why I said it may not be possible
OTOH, even though the icon has gone the location is still valid.

Unfortunately, the former is the case - the location dies with the marker.

No particular problem with current scoring or markers, or possible changes - there'll always be winners and losers
Like the recent change to show number of bridges / trig points if outside top 10. Given the (relatively) small numbers, would it be possible to be able to see which trig points have been visited. A seperate optional list perhaps, or have them included (optionally?) in the 'Your Current Markers' list.
I know there are some trig points that I have visited in the past, but possibly before they were include in Fetchpoint
