I've now added a drag-and-drop toolbox on the left of the map, so that you can place markers on the map much more easily. If a marker needs more information (e.g. a cake shop requires a title) it'll pop up a box to ask you for it. And it'll automatically take the credits off your account (unless it's a free marker, like a bridge or a cake shop), and won't let you place it if you haven't got enough.

Cake shops are all very well in their own way, but can we maybe also add drinking fountains?

Yeah sure, why not. I've added a new marker type - a water droplet. Go nuts

Just doing some maths after my lunchtime bug herd: moved 29 bugs without squishing a single one, a new record for me. I run in Hammersmith and my home circle is divided into segments by a couple of tube lines which run on the surface, a regular railway line, the River Thames and the A4 including the Hammersmith flyover. I cleared a segment today which is about 1/5th of my home circle. If you assume you "paint" with a brush that is 160m wide (so you register with a marker if you pass within 80m of it so you touch everything 80 to your left and right as you run), then to paint your whole home circle you'd need to run just under 51km or 32 miles. Today I ran just short of 10 km so that all sort of ties up.
Other odd thing is I can't see all 29 bugs on the map. I was really tight on leaving my circle today: basically left the circle by about 15m at the most. Is there anything that stops all the bugs living too close together?

minardi.
Well, what a disappointment that was! No pompoms, no , no , no , No huge explosion and all my bugs disappearing, no zillions of extra points :-(. Just a "minardi found the Higgs bosun"
Can we have a marker for pubs as well as cake shops? I may have been known to end a run in a local or not so local hostelry

Phil - they're probably sitting on top of each other.
Minardi - that would have been good wouldn't it. I like the idea of killing all the bugs.

You've changed things while I wasn't paying attention!!!
So - these new toggles which allow you to quickly display eahc marker type (or not): my preference would be for the coins to default to not shown, because unless you are specifically hunting coins, I find they make everything else really difficult to see. I appreciate it's only a single click - but it doesn't remember that last time I was on the map, I had coins off.
What do others think?
And with bridges... do I get any points or anything, or are they just there for interest? Like postboxes.... I've never had a report than anyone else has run past one of 'my' postboxes.
