At the end of last week I needed a short run so popped just out of my 1 mile circle and back in. To get to there and back I took a zig-zag route and picked up about 10 bugs. This means the bugs all ended up in a tight area just outside my home circle. Today I went straight to the edge of my home circle and picked up the bugs and went out for a longer run, leaving them 3 miles away and so squishing them all. Still convinced that bugs are just a distraction. They are fun for recovery days as my patch is next to many others so on such days I can't get to any flowers but once I can run over 6 or 7 miles, flowers just dominate the score-sheet, so one extra flower picked is 3x the points I loose due to bugs.
