question: relay markers

if say, a relay marker (west) is placed up against a railway line or river, so cannot move WEST due to obstruction. so can it be moved by using the say, next nearest bridge and then continuing moving it west?

G4B briefly yes as long as you move west at some time it should move.

G4B Compass directions are not limited by mere man made obstructions. It is a geographical calculation.

I've got my 5 goreillas for this month - im not sure if I've ever had 5 before in one month!
Should take up cycling, sure I'd get more on a monthly basis rather than just running round the streets.

I'm not clear about this. If a realy is due to travel west, must it always travel due west, or could it move to the most westerly part of a run that inludes, say, a couple of miles north-west?

yes.

I squished about 21 bugs yesterday, that was nearly all the close ones, and still lost some 3000 points this lunchtime

Doc - yes, you're wrong ;-)

They appear to travel to the xxxxx-most point of your route, regardless of whether this is actually due xxxxx or not. I had an East-bound relay which is now several miles away from its last point, but not due East - it's mainly North, but slightly East, at the point where my route turned left
