How about bramble patches? These could catch on the things that you're carrying depositing a random number of them around. Probably as popular as traffic lights

I just looked at my account, and then checked my route on the map and there are LOADS of coins that I should have collected that haven't registered! i don't get it! (Although, my understanding of this game is pretty minimal anyway)!!

@Lady McGrath I have been having the same problem, the first run I did worked fine but then all subsequent runs have collected nothing even though I planned the routes to run through coins. When I upload the run the coins are still there so far this week I have completed 4 runs and only earned for one of them, itis not just the coins that don't registrar and have also run through a number of traffic lights and not had to pay, am I a ghost runner??? (try's to walk through wall and bumps nose) ouch.

Well I was considering not running this morning - late night, woke up very tired but I had some traffic lights to go and get so I got up and hopefully got them (just waiting for my points to update) Thank you Sir Fetch so much for making running a lot of fun....
I have also had coins that should have been collected that havent, and I should have been close enough to get them. Here's hoping todays work.
sorry cant help on the bug FML hopefully it registers & bugs off soon.

*update* mine all worked today so another rent marker a few coins and 2 randoms, one gave me 21 points and the nasty one took away 95.

I don't think we should be able to own any of the markers. If the game is about getting points through exercise then owning markers that gives you points through other buggers efforts seems against the spirit of the game. Place them randomly around the map, update coins (and the forthcoming power up cake!) several times a day and traffic lights, bugs, realy weekly,or monthly but the ownership aspect I disagree with.
