I have no way of ever being at the top of the leaderboards (what with coming back from injury, too much of a wimp to cycle in the cold winter and run in unlit areas on dark nights, having a life etc etc...) Also near a river, and if I move my home area it puts me in large unaccessible areas. But was happy to squish the bugs, collect coins, plant and water flowers, and collect 5 gore-illa's for a chance to win a prize. Anyone else feel like this?!

You can still play the game the way that you're used to, except for Gore-illa's - and the leaderboard works like an Olympic medal table - so one Amur beats a million lions. That's worth remembering if you're worrying about not being particularly high mileage. I really can't do anything about the river though I hope you recover well from your injury.
