any thoughts on reporting markers.....I.m fairly rural so a lot of my bugs and markers and stuff end up in the middle of fields or private land more that 80m from the nearest footpath so are impossible to get.....should i report these or is that cheating??

No, surely that's the point of the report system. It's there for anything that's unreachable or in a dangerous place. I get a lot appearing on a lane near me that I always report as it seems like a suicide attempt to contemplate running or biking it. If they're in a middle of a field/unreachable but not dangerous spots then I don't tend to bother unless they're bugs I need to clear

Sioux's right, it's not cheating to report bugs which you can't legally and safely get to. Reporting them because they're somewhere that you ran 2 days ago and you'd rather run somewhere different would be cheating, IMO.
I live somewhere fairly rural, and a lot of my bugs land in the middle of fields. I report them selectively, starting with the ones nearest home (as they will cost me the most in penalties). I only report a few at a time - basically I report until I can see a sensible route to run them away that fits the distance I want to do that day. This means that I tend to end up with quite a few bugs towards the outside of my circle.

I tend to move them all before I run but only till they are somewhere I can reach not till they are on my doorstep. Then I plan my run/bike round where they ended up. But like today, I know where I'm running before I look at the map because of planned session so I haven't moved any and will just leave them till the next time my route isn't pre-determined
Drives me insane when I report one, it moves and ends up in an equally inaccessible spot and I have to move it again!! The joys of more rural living lol

I do the same as you, Sioux - once they move to somewhere reachable, I stop moving them, even if it's in the opposite direction from where I was intending to run. I tend to start with flexible route plans, and it's fairly easy to adjust to scoop up the ones close to home, up to a point. That's another reason why I mostly move the ones closer to home - they are more likely to end up somewhere where reaching them doesn't take me miles out of my way.

It's only on interval days my route is pretty set I run 2.5m to gym, dreadmill and 2.5 mile by a diff route home. I can clear any that fall on route or don't involve a huge detour as just leave the mile zone before the gym. Means I have a little 'holding' spot for bugs till I venture further a field.
Bike rides are good for trundling round my home zone picking up bugs before heading miles out to pick flowers and squish the critters

I don't bike. I *have* a bike, but it sits forlornly in the garage. I have about 5 holding zones at different points of my circle.

with out my bike I'd struggle to reach anyone elses flowers.
I'm a 'darksider' RevB and use the Furman F.I.R.S.T schedules for running so have to bike.
