I certainly don't go out of my way to clear bugs. If any are really close to home I'll run them off but on a normal week the points lost to bugs are easily outstripped by the points gained elsewhere.

Moving the bugs is prompting me to run different routes (to pick them up, and then get them outside the mile circle)... and THAT means I'm picking up a lot more coins than I would if I ran the same few routes all the time.

Coins, coins, lovely coins....

... speaking of which, can anyone give me a heads up on when/why coins appear? The Guide says all you have to do is log a run every 3 days to keep them coming, and they disappear after 7 days if not collected.... but do you get more coins if you log more runs? Do they appear every day at a certain time, or at random moments?

Not sure on the exact numbers as this depends on the density of fetchies in the area, see the notes on your home page on fetchpoint. The number of coins doesn't increase the more runs you do as there is a limit to the number distributed. All updates to coins bugs etc are made sometime between 12 midnight and 4' they are not made at random. However reporting some items does get them moved - bugs move nearer your home, gorillas disappear for the day and checkpoints more to another place but not always remaining within your home circle.

Regarding planting flowers. They don't necessarily appear in the same place unless you ran exactly the same route. They appear at each half or whole mile once you leave the circle. For example if I leave my circle at 3.9 miles I only need to go a tiny bit further to plant a flower but if I leave at 3.52 miles then I have to go another half mile before I plant one.

Ooh, that's helpful re the flowers.... I had assumed it started counting when you cross the line, and you had to do half a mile from then. I can see there's a lot to this.

Ah, thanks USB - that might explain it as when I started cycling to work I was using a slightly different route - so although the stretch where I planted flowers is still part of my route to work I've done a little more distance before I get to it now than when I started.

I think I get it anyway...

Hopefully when my run loads I'll have dealt with 20 bugs :-)

Can you report coins? Not that there's any shortage of accessible ones at the moment.... but I live in a semi-rural area and I estimate about a third of my home turf is not accessible....
