RB the answer is very simple - you have assumed that the route is only run once a day but I run and cycle on most days. Living in a village there are only 4 possible routes out two are on the A15 which leaves only 2 routes I like to take, also I normally go out and back by the same route thereby doubling up on parts of the route, secondly my wife likes to ride but doesn't like being far from home so there is a 4.4 mile loop that Rich ran that we may go round 2,3 or 4 times and finally if I run a six miler I might run three miles round the loop until I reach my home circle coming back in and turn round and run back therefore planting 7 or 8 flowers, so on some days I may be planting 20 odd flowers along these roads. As no one is within 2 miles of me it is very rare to get another fetchie out my way so the volume does build up. The route Rich took this morning already has 9 flowers planted on it from the ride I did in the afternoon, need to build my garden again Rich on my last count they were 250 flowers on that route but last Saturday on part of my ride I was fortunate to get additional flowers due to a glitch the system hits at times, there are a number around if you have time to scour the map, this I estimated put another 100+ on the route |

Out and back and round and round, got it. You cyclists do have an advantage over us plodders. I haven't fully counted the number of potential exits from my circle, but it is certainly approaching double figures, if not actually in them. Some I wouldn't readily use on foot, though - main road, no pavement... |

When I think about it I have 11 exits but only one of those is lit. 5 aren't safe to use either I'm thinking of Mick and Mrs Mick and singing 'Round and round the garden ...............' |

Mick, I did notice a couple of groups of flowers crop up not that for from me last weekend and wondered how they happened. Thought you must have been doing reps up and down the road or something. Was contemplating going that way in a couple of days, then they were gone :). So someone else got that little present. Yes Revbarbaraq those that cycle do have a massive advantage over anyone who just runs, not that there is any prize or anything. Just the same it would be interesting to see a separate leagues table showing people who only run, shame they don't do that. |

RevB - I have a local park which I use for intervals - maybe 400m or 800m - this leads to lots of flowers being planted in a very compact area

USB we do have very large gardens in our part of the world But the only time I've taken Mrs Mick somewhere different I got a puncture and she doesn't have a good sense of direction so had to wait. The weather wasn't too good and she was baking some cakes for a friend and was worried about getting back in time to do them so now we just do the short circle so she knows where she is and can get home on her own if necessary and I don't mind as it clocks up flowers. If your interested you can see pictures of her cakes here lemonlushcupcakeco.com |

Having explored my map in closer detail than any sane adult has any business doing, I have discovered there are 23 crossing points on my one mile circle, although quite a few of them are minor variations or immediately come back in. There are essentially 9 routes out if you want to actually go somewhere. For bug moving, though, the several exits close together are very handy

lol rev click away from the Fetchpoint game pages and stay away for at least an hour.;-) Fetchpoint has worked its way into my daily routine. In the morning when I get into work I check my personal and work emails, and get the map up to see where the bugs and monkey has popped up today! |
