First-time poster!!

This game is too addictive, just drove about 8 miles to do a run along some of the most boring (& slightly dangerous) lanes imaginable just so i could pick a bucket-load of flowers :). I think I may need professional help!:)
Mind you, two positives, first my fastest training run for some time, Second, way more flowers than I was expecting 8^).

So, you up for forming a 4F group, then
It occurs me that Fetchpoint could be a good thing to focus in between races for those who can't or don't want to race very often. An alternative challenge..... something to give shape to training.... a different set of goals.... another way of having fun.
I've worked out a route for tomorrow which should enable me to take 5 bugs out of my circle.... the only 5 accessible from roads and footpaths. After that, I'll be into reporting. Unless I should be focussing elsewhere... Coins... Those whatchamacallit markers.... what's the best strategy for getting loads of points?

Thank you :).
Actually been on Fetch for quite a while, just not got round to posting.
The bugs annoy me too, nothing worse than logging a run which only nets you a few thousand points only to see the system take 4 or 5k of you just after lunch. Mind you if you net the points I did earlier those bugs only seem like gnats. :).
One of the things I like about the game is that it encourages you to make different routes and even travel a little bit. Sure beats running the same route time and time again, (Although doing that can be profitable if you are out of everyone's area).

I'm in a low density zone (i.e. there's only me), and logically it would make a LOT more sense to go round deliberately hoovering up coins than to worry about the bugs. I mean, I've been collecting 5 digits worth of coins per run without even trying, whereas I'm exquisitely planning routes to save myself a few hundred points in bug penalities. But those bugs are just so flipping annoying!!! Plus it's the fact that I've run a different route which is getting me to more coins, I suppose.
But hark at me.... I've only been in the game 10 days!

I don't know how far you run, but if you go outside your area, plant some flowers then water them (whilst adding to them) It might take 6 weeks but eventually if they are not picked you will harvest them. giving you (hopefully by then) 5k per bloom.
So if on your normal run you plant 6 flowers and you run that route 3 times a week, by 6 weeks you will be watering 108 flowers 6 of which will be harvested giving you a 30k bonus 3 times week.

For a new poster, Rich, you have got this game sussed
I don't run that far at the moment - a Long Run is 5-6 miles, but I am building up as I am aiming for VLM next year (if I get a place). But I also do Parkrun which is no-one's home area, so lots of flower planting and picking possibilities there. I've only done a couple of runs from home since I joined the game (cos I was away last week, and ran a race on Saturday) - but I have planted a flower on each one. Only need to visit each one occasionally, right?
Yesterday I was fortunate to pick up one of those random marker thingies which gave me 100,000 points, boosting me up to no 484 in the May standings - and I only joined on May 11th. Is it ridiculous to be so please about that? Yes, it is, I know it.
If you run the same route each time (boring!!! but for the sake of argument) - would you plant a new flower each time, as well as watering the one that was already there?
