If you report them they will reappear nearer home, so only report when you're planning a run or your penalties will increase ;-)

As most of my patch is inaccessible I report the bugs just before i run. sometimes you have to report the same bug as it gets moved to another inaccessible place.

Can someone clarify something about flowers - I ran a park run last week, drove there and did the race, but didnt plant any flowers - do you actually have to run out of your zone to get the flowers - hope that makes sense.

Mandymoo I think that flowers are planted only in places which are *no-ones's* home zone. So I hardly plant any at all here in London - a short stretch of road in Peckham and an odd bit of Deptford are the only places I've ever planted any.

Re reporting bugs - do they get moved straight away? I thought Fetch looked at reports personally?

I had assumed that bug penalties would be applied overnight, but they actually seem to be coming around lunchtime/early afternoon. If I report bugs just after the penalties have been applied the day before I intend to run, I could potentially see where they move to, and plan a run accordingly....

Also.... do they keep on coming? If I never moved any, would I eventually be overrun with the blighters?

I think they do move straight away Revbarbarag. They get cleared each month.

Bugs moved instantly they are reported but I think Lord Fetch does look at reports to make sure they really are inaccessible and you aren't just moving them to get them in a nearer spot to get! Bugs are born in the night but the penalties go on around midday so there is time for people to get rid of them in between. Definitely don't move them till after penalties if you are going to run in the evening but be certain you will be running before you move them too.

You get 2 new bugs in your circle each day but you'll see more if you overlap with other players. If you do nothing there will be around 60 at the end of the month (depends which month) but they all disappear at the stroke of midnight on the last day. Then it all starts again :-)

Now that you're asking questions about bugs it might be time to point you in the direction of a particularly well written guide on the subject ;) http://www.fetcheveryone.com/article-view.php?id=468
