I'm guessing it is just a shade under 50% for the standard 1000, given there are 101 random values...

And if that's right it gives a standard 'expected' value for the randoms of 386.1 each...

Like the new points for randoms and the idea that now there's a real risk/opportunity consideration. Furthermore from personal experience I think giving flowers a finite life will narrow the points gap between 'coin gathers' and gardeners with those doing the most mileage still being at the top of the pile, of course others will have different views.
Fetch/vj - regarding vj comment about gaining flowers as you exit/enter your home mile radius is this correct? I live in a small village and only have four roads intersecting this radius and have not noticed a build up of flowers at the intersecting points which if vj statement is correct I would have expected there to be.
usb - not sure if you got my point. The recent cull gave someone 22m points that equates to the clearance of a min 4400 flowers, the persons training log, since the old flowers process was introduced, only shows 1183 miles covered therefore the maximum flowers that could be cleared (based on all miles being done outside their home circle and not crossing anyone else's patch and none being picked) is 2366,where did the other 2000 come from?

Wow, it's "statto!" in here. I was just going to see how many people pick their routes by Fetchpoint?! I'm like Mick - in the country, really limited number of safe ways to go from my house, so I tend to do same routes regularly. When I do something different e.g. up the hills, there are no Fetchpoint things up there!
Fetchpoint feels very city/sub-urban focussed. Or am I just being dumb? :-)G

:-)G I'm in a small market town but am lucky to live almost in the middle. Saying that only one route out of the circle has street lights/houses on it.

HG - I use fetchpoint after I've decided how far I'm going to run as this determines which road I'm going to use. There are two reasons why I check 1) to see where the bugs are - hate losing hard run points so have always tried to keep my area clear and 2) what coins will be close by the route I will be taking as every little bit helps. I can only access about 35% of my home circle the rest is crop fields and gravel pits both no go areas however I now know all the public right of ways but unfortunately even these become impassable during the summer as they become overgrown. Finally with only four roads to use even planting flowers takes longer for example a 4.5 loop I run only has 1.7 miles of road outside my home circle, but this is a small price to pay NOT to live in a town

Think this is getting way too serious yes its great to get big points, (i don't) but dre i say it its only a game.
And the bigger the game gets the harder,, wait. You're just not going to please everyone Even though i'm town based they are areas that i can't access A13, M25, industralised private propertities. Some changes i've liked some not so but thats life
Oh and i'd argue the fact that that the game isn't about getting you to run places you normally wouldn't. It does. Well certainly with me rather than running the same old routes
