... and that other fetchpointer will plant flowers in the process. Then you (or someone else) can pick them on the Monday

Thatthought had occurred to me too YP - there's currently about 40,000 points of flowers on the Kendal 10k route - should be very profitable come the end of April

Helegant
79 posts later, I now have some questions and observations:
As a rural person, the reporting feature is useful to clear markers from a couple of local fields, and I hope this will prevent future placement of markers, but it seems like a long-winded way of doing things. I would appreciate the ability to specify no-go areas (which is most of the farm-land around me). As a complete ignoramous on the topic of mapping, can the code identify footpaths and roads, and maybe only place markers within a set distance of these?
Someone mentioned having a runner with an overlapping circle to their own - how do I find out that sort of information, or wgere other people are running?
Observation: if I want lots of points I can simply go for a walk in the nearest town, but they are very hard work to get to locally - not just the location but the effor required to move across different surfaces. There's a world of difference between running along a street and slithering through a cattle-mire, climbing stiles, fighting brambles and nettles, and clambering through a rutted field to reach a coin.
Also... would it be possible to multiply the points earned if gained on foot vs wheels?

Helegant - welcome to my world. Sounds like you're in the same sort of location as me. To comment on your questions
The ability to mark inaccessible areas as such would indeed be nice idea. It's been suggested a number of times previously but Fetch has always maintained that it would overcomplicate the code to a degree that would make the game unworkable. ChrisHB suggested, a few pages back, that he had had an idea which may have worked on that score but I don't know where that is up to and wouldn't be able to comment on its viability one way or another. For now, we just have to live with many inaccessible markers. From experience, I'd suggest there is no point reporting anything except the bugs.
Overlapping circles - the easiest way to tell if there are other players nearby is to look at the map. All coins, bugs and traffic lights are placed by the system within a mile of a player. If there are coins outside your own mile circle, then there is somebody else nearby. You can get a feel for how many others by the number of bugs and Gore-illas you can see - we each get two new bugs per day and one Gore-illa so if, on a given day, you see more than that within your mile circle, there must one or more others with an overlapping circle. There's also a 'you are my density' box on your account page which allegedly tells you how many other players are within two miles of you - the reliability of that information seems a little suspect at times.
Your observation - I'd agree it's easier to pick up points running along a street but it's not half so much fun is it?
On foot vs wheels? - One for Fetch though I suspect that the game simply takes route data from the training log - making it take sport data as well would probably add to the complxity of things.

Helegant I very much doubt the code can identify paths and roads, even if it could I would not want areas away from paths and roads made "no go areas" as a lot my running is on this type of terrain.

Agree with CA entirely - rural is also my world. Gore-illas for some reason have has more of a tendancy to fall in farmers fields or powerstations than garmangles. So for the first few months I did report them but it makes no difference. I only get 5 when I cylce to a nearby town and steal theirs. This behaviour has many benefits- plants flowers also you get high density of coins in towns. Although it is 20 m ( I am not really a cylist) but it is fun when I have the time.

I'm not running due to injury but took a little walk round it and managed > 1,000,000 points

I know an area on the outskirts of Norwich would probably net someone (and me) with a similar points haul
