Go Snoopy!
Hi Sherry B, now that I seem to be back on track (fingers crossed) can I please be added to your fetchpoint team? I'd be so grateful. I ran 15 in the pouring rain today with the biggest smile on my face! I was just so happy to be running again

Had a fantastic run in Reading half marathon, started a bit fast and thought that I would pay for it at the end but finished fine and was so happy, loved this race and all the bands playing along the way and loads of supporters, got a taste of what it will be like at VLM, so excited now. I would of got a PB had I not waited for my sister queueing for the loo!!!!!!!

Woo hoo, well done Snoopy. I'm guessing you need to email fetchpoint@gmail.com to be added back to the team.
Well done Debart for the HM.

Hi everyone, Reading Half Marathon for me on Sunday. Found it a bit tough going at times, not because of the miles but because of the weather! So cold and wet and sleet.....at one point I was trying to put my (dripping wet) windproof back on and realised my fingers weren't working because I couldn't feel them they were so cold! Still, I enjoyed it nonetheless and managed to scrape a PB by a minute or so (2hrs 34 mins 39 I think). Got the usual severe knee pain today (and inside ankle), which I have had after my last two long runs. Hoping a session in the gym tomorrow will sort me out. Ran it in new trainers and I really think they helped. Yes I know you aren't supposed to do that!!! So, I have an 18 miler to look forward to this weekend.....Hopefully I will be able to do my longer runs with a friend going forwards, that should make a difference fingers crossed!

Thank you Hellen and Debart! Even if the shoes had got dirt on them, it would have been washed off by the rain It took me a long time to feel warm again after that, was lusting after other peoples gloves and hats! Planning to attempt a short treadmill run today to see how my knee and ankle hold up as they are still very sore despite RICE last night.
I am definitely flagging though, I have to remember that it is only a few more weeks and I will be having one of the best days of my life so far (fingers crossed)!
