mushroom
I had my name on the old RW forum before migrating to Fetch. IIRC I think it's because I had recently joined a veggie athletic club and I thought I'd use something that resonated with that. Mushrooms are simply one of my favourite vegetables :-)

JK *chameleon*
@:)G - Birth certificate gives me as James - however I was Jamie immediately and don't recognise James as my name (Deed poll will be done before I buy a house!)

I'll mention the Celtic connotations to my housemate - he might like to be a hawk! His birth mother is Scottish, so that might explain the Celtic name in the middle of Manchester!

Wombling Plodder (Welsh Womble)
During one company takeover my colleague and I were introduced to our new team mates. When we arrived for work on the Monday morning they had arranged for us to sit next to each other and had one of those car sun screen banners made up for the window “Sharon n Tracey”. All we needed was a Dorien !!

57.5 Degrees of Pain
After several years in Edinburgh, my Canadian friend Nigel thought that his name held negative connotations of middle class Englishness for the Scots. Mr Farrage will not have helped in more recent years.

My name, Timothy, has a very similar curve to Nigel, peaking the year I was born and dropping precipitously since the 60s. Gary is another with a similar trajectory

Pothunter
Colin peaked at about 15 in the 40s and seems to have dropped out of the top 100 in the mid-80s. Also wonder what we did...

JogWalker
Fan of Star Wars. When I started I could only run (jog) for about 400 metres and then I walked for a while.

NDWDave
Going back a few posts, I work with a Nigel/Nige. His real name is Graham but as the 18 year old newish employee, he crashed his car because he was going too fast. He got nicknamed Nigel (Mansell) and it has still stuck 30 years later
