cavey.Tried the more slimming black one -dosen't work for me ! I may have to just try the slimming! :-)

ninemins; wasn't having a go mate, just trying to be helpful.Really sorry if threre was any offence it, it wasnt intended - I really should have googled the postcode like i normally do beforehand but was rushing from Burnsall that morning. i was using a google map on my mobile to get there. I think the diversion took us away from the signs for the centre from the direction we were coming from as well. Nevermind-got there in the end. I will be first there next time (if its there) promise! xxxx
Thanks for all the pic links everyone
. Might get the train next time so i can have more beer..hang on that might be why the shirt isn't that slimming!!

hlsweb is not practicing what she preaches today anyway - just had some cheese straws, mini choc digestives and toast and jam for brekkie :-) Got to eat all these left overs up before I get back on the wagon. Still got a chunk of birthday cake to finish off today as well!

Race Report

so, after reading the reports from around the country of other Fetcheveryone miles, having lively debate about where in yorkshire this premier sporting event should be held and when, the track at the John Charles Centre for Sport was booked for Sunday the 24th of August, 2 while 3!

this also saw the start of the Fetcheveryone Yorkshire Mile 1 thread which has deviated from running in oh so many ways, most of which are very wrong ;)

Race day dawned and the sun shone down on the stadium as fetchies from all around yorkshire, the country and the world and Mr T, gathered trackside eager to get the running done so they could get stuck into the cake :)
SODIron even got a cuppa made by Chromey!

Cavey set up race HQ and using his beautifully crafted spod sheet allocated everyone with a number, Lapsed Athlete provided safety pins, handily sorted into 4s, and even more importantly had a very swish stopwatch and knew how to use it, and I found my whistle!!! and got bossy!!!

Race 1
the speedy ones! Dave A set off at a cracking pace and the others followed on, Mr T had lost his chains and mohican - worried about the drag!
They all sped round the track, LA shouting out times at the end of each lap and as each runner went through for their last lap they were treated to a dingalingaling as we had no bell! Incredible times from race 1, and Cavey didn't puke!

1. Dave A (30) 5:13 WINNER!
2. PaulS (35) 5:59
3. haddi31 (33) 6:04
4.derooster (39) 6:07
5. 360 (31) 6:09
6. Cavey (38) 6:12
7. LP (37) 6:55

Race 2
this was an interesting race for the punters - Chromey vs Puddington.....
Dave A had recovered remarkably quickly (Dave - he's not human) and was pacing Chromey round
blew my whistle and off they went.....
and in they came, some of them squeaking

1. Ninemins (63) 6:26
2. YP1 (51) 6:39 First Lady
3.SODIron (47) 6:41

4. Kev Scone (44) 6:45
5. RooA (5) 6:53
6.Lisrun (50) 7:00
7. chromey (41) 7:00
8. Puddington (40) 7:02
9. For My Light (42) 7:09

Race 3
I reluctantly handed over my whistle and headed to the start line with the rest of race 3, robocop was again pacing, me this time!

1. Marc (52) 7:28 Fastest Junior
2. joolz62 (52) 8:11
3. northernslowcoach (56) 8:12
4. My Humps (61) 8:27
5. Stoxy (54) 8:32
6. Lapsed Athlete (59) 8:42
7. Winniefree (62) 9:08
8. Oceanspirit (55) 9:52
9. Hlsweb (60) 11:16 with broken knees :(

then it was time for the kids to have a go, and we decided to be completely unPC, make them race each other and declare winners, places and times!

first up was the 400m
1. Chloe Scone (2) 1:42
2. Adam (42) 1:50
3. Natalie (6) 1:52
4. Chloe H (4) 1:58
5= Anya (14) 2:04
5= Robbie (3) 2:04
5= Rheanna (10) 2:04
8. Yasmin (8) 2:09
9. Naomi (7) 3:28

and then the 100m, little chromey had an attack of pre-race nerves but managed a storming run with a little help from daddy!
the kids were quicker than the time keepers!
1. Adam (42) 19
2= Chloe Scone (2) 21
2= Bronwen (12) 21
4. Yasmin (8) 22
5. Natalie (6) 23
6= Robbie (3) 24
6= Rheanna (10) 24
6= Kirsty (5) 24
6= Anya (14) 24
10. Malachai (11)
11. Naomi (7) 34

the winners of each race were presented with chocolate trophies handcrafted by YP1, and we all grabbed a medal and ate cake as sadly 2 while 3 had passed and our time was up!

thank you to Cavey for the magnificent spread sheet, Lapsed Athlete for the stopwatch, timekeeping expertise, safety pins and pub finding, Puddington for her message sending and EVERYONE for turning up and making it such a wonderful day :)

Fab race report there NSC :-) and my time was better than I though :-) but I am still broken ;-)

Had yet another text from Haddi (hope they're included in his bundle) and he has suggested we have a weekly weigh in so we are ready for the next Yorkshire Mile - I pointed out there is already a fetchie flab fighters post but he thinks we should have our own Yorkshire Mile Diet Club :-) Anyone else wanna join? Suppose that is two of us at least. I would start a list but Puddington would get upset and we can't have that :-)
