Lapsed Athlete
did you hear that, Liz thinks she's cracked a rib, if that is the case it was either the bravest run or the maddest considering how long she ran with it

Yorkshire Pie (YP1)
A bit of catching up to do!
I managed to set my alarm for the wrong time (12.30 instead of 00.30) but woke up at about 30k. So proud of Paula for carrying on after that stretch (also makes me feel better about always taking a walk break in marathons if Paula does it ). Great run from Mara, and I didn't realise about Yelling's fall until she finished - great run after that.
Then I couldn't get back to sleep so I watched the swimming, cycling, beach volleyball and now basketball. My alarm is set for 6 to get down to Belper so I guess that's it for me for the night, I'll be knackered after the 30k - I think lots of espresso before I set off, and then takeaway tonight as I won't have enough energy to move.
There was a summary a few pages back so I'll chip in my thoughts -
1) Several of us have lost weight - me too 2) Some people like to take the train there and run home and some run there and take the train home - I usually get the train to Keighley and run back to Leeds, I prefer to get straight into the shower at the end of the run rather than having to sit on the train home 3) Sports clothing is badly undersized and doesnt cater for everyone - true, although I'm finding it much easier now 4) We all like cake - oh yes 5) We hit 2000 posts - we did, didn't we 6) Some of us can multi task - the women, mainly 7) Some of us have no hair - not me 8) Some of us are veterans - not yet 9) Some of us like football - not me 10) Some of us dont - me, give me rugby anyday
And with that, I suppose I'd better put some more coffee on and start finding my running kit. It will be my first race in a Fetch top today (awaits telling off from Stoxy - the basic plan is at local races to wear club vest but further away where there are no club people but lots of fetchies wear my fetch top so they can spot me).
And it's raining, so I'm going to run to prove Haddi wrong about me.
