Well hope it improves for the weekend kStuart - best of luck!

Ness - really strangely I started 'swimming' to help running recovery, but then things escalated and I started OW swimming too. But started off hating the OW side of it. Now I'm 100% the other way round - pool swim is a necessary evil to get fit enough to get to OW swimming! And yes, its a bit early in the season for me too - I'm normally happier come June time for OW swimming! I highly recommend it tho to anyone...

hello all, is it Tuesday?

Good running talk going on here, a 2 mile TT sounds flipping horrible - but also quite tempting...

Yes, worth considering then. Definitely seeing as I still have my wetsuit from scuba diving. :)

Evening all.

Had Covid jab on Saturday. Took it easy over the weekend. Did an easy 4 miles last night but felt quite rough today. Not bad, just not 100%.

Foot also a bit niggly. Felt fine during run but a bit sore afterwards. New shoes required...

That was the purpose of my run tonight, breaking in my new shoes before sunday. Had realised not gotten new ones since er 2019 probably, but def not since Covid.

Was undecided on how fast for Sunday but with wonky hamstring will perhaps take it easier. The two half length or so ones i did recently were 2:15 and 2:19 half times with 700+ foot climb and not going max speed so was pondering 2 to 2:05 time and knowing 2:15 shoud have been comfortable enough.

Now we'll see basically on the day how it feels.

How it feels seems the sensible option - it's easier to judge in normal times when you've got a few recent parkruns or something under your belt.
