Don't you think it should be sub 5 AND sub 6 together? If someone goes in the 5 - 8 group and they end up running 5:00 exactly then not only would they lap anyone running over 6:30 (which doesn't do much for moral!) but they would be fast enough to have ran in the sub 5 group.

I would suggest having the groups: sub 6, sub 8 and then 8+

Can I just check that if you're coming by public transport - you want to go to Catford railway station? or is there a tube near there?

I think the sub 8 and 8+ groups might get too big and need to be split up, but it's a bit hard to work it out until the day itself really when we see who turns up. I agree that having 5 and 8 in the same group probably isn't a good idea though.

icklechick: no tube, looks like trains to Catford only go from Cannon St, if you want to go from Waterloo East/London Bridge then you'd need to change at Catford Bridge to get to Catford. There are direct trains from Waterloo East to Ladywell though, which is very close too, so I think that's what I'll do.

Can't keep up with this thread! Will deposit RPTT kit with DIY family and head over. Will bring the TAG Heuer timer but please don't rely on me. If I have a hiccup with the Time Trial results, I will be delayed.

IC - the nearest 'tube' is DLR at Lewisham, but you'd still need to get a bus or train (or jog!) from there to Catford.

BTW for anyone who's not been there before: While it's a perfectly OK running track, i have to laugh at the though that someone's called it the "Ladywell Arena" - makes it sound reet grand!
