What about a beer mile relay teams of 8? 4 to run, 4 to drink. I volunteer to drink.

Oh, I'm up for drinking after we've done our mile.....beer relay, although we'll have to do it at the path that runs around the outside of the track. I use this track and want to be able to go back!!!

Can I egoistically type thing suggest a Chase The Chief race?

Pick a distance , give me a head start, graded start (ie slowest first) then first to catch me wins more Love The Chief points and general admiration. I could wear a costume or sumfink.

Max - the idea is to be caught - me in naked might cause the opposite effect.

Mmmmm. Beer.

Seeing that I've seem to have been blamed with the suggestion, I'll add my thoughts...

Should be a great laugh to try out, but I'd suggest using a track such as this one: runtrackdir.com

It's in the middle of a park, rarely used and one can just walk on and run. Probably similar venues dotted around that I don't know about. Wouldn't feel so 'naughty' in such a venue. Ideally it should be a separate event on a date which fits nicely into my training. Anybody planning anything for the first week in October? ;-)

PS - I shall come along and offer the service of putting any willing sub 5 aspirants through 1209m in an evenly paced 3:44-3:45. Seem to be lots of you so you shouldn't need me for the final lap unless specifically requested.
