there's a possibility i might be doing a 30k the next day, so in that case i'd just do the mile - any time's OK with me, though the earlier the better.

Any date would be fine for me at the moment but think that perhaps it should, if possible, be kept to the original date.
Don't mind the venue - wherever it is I'll have to travel........

Think sticking with the original date is a good plan (although I could make others if needed).
Love the idea of mass Fetchie WCTT then 1 mile race then BBQ. Think there would be time...
9 - 9.30 TT
9.30-10am get to track
10.00am - 10.06am run mile [here's hoping!]
Where shall we have the BBQ though ???????????????????????????

I'm happy with doing a time trial...but if time is going to be an issue getting from the time trial to wherever we are doing the mile, I'd probably only do a mile as I know my 5K would be a much slower 5K since i'll only have been up and running a little over a month again by that point. Go with the mass concensus. I'm happy to watch the TT and do the mile afterwards.
I also do think we need to keep it to the original date.
