Unlike in December when they said it was quiet so just turn up, in the summer we'd have to book a 'slot' for half a day. This is either 8am-2pm or 2pm-7pm. A slot will cost £225, payable in advance. Now, unfortunately, 14 June has been booked for months. 7 June or 21 June are still available, morning or afternoon. Seeing as we have 42 people down on the list (for the 14th, admittedly), I don't think the £225 is a problem as it would be something like £5-8 each. Our options are either to move the date and still do it at Tooting, or to try and find another track for 14th. Battersea Park is busy that day, but Wimbledon Park Athletics Track is available until 11am. This is pretty close to Wimbledon Common, so in theory we could have a warmup/mobmatch at WCTT at 9am, and move straight on to Wimbledon Park by 10am to get the Mile Challenge going. I forgot to ask how much it would cost to book, but sure it's affordable for the numbers we'll be looking at runtrackdir.com THOUGHTS? Given some folk have made big plans to get to London for 14th, I think it would be nice to keep the date. Alternatively, others like the Noisy One (Gobi) couldn't do 14th anyway I'll keep boinging this today/tomorrow. We should decide by tomorrow
