Just a thought re the childrens' race[s] - if we make them wait until last, they could get pretty cold and fed up...

I shall be bringing a football so we can let them run riot with that for a little while.

We could do a few kids races in between the adult races too.

RT - sorry I totally forgot last night. I've set a reminder on my phone that will go off tonight!

I believe BM was bringing some Egg and Spoon kit and looking for some sacks for a sack race. Much as I have resisted the temptation to organise, I think we are going to need a list if this isnt going to fall apart. As best I can remember, and attempting to bring together all the ideas (probably failing) I suggest the following, please feel free to amend...

11:30 - 11:45 Meet at sports centre reception.

12:00 Meet on track. Changed.

12:10 Race 1. 10+ min/mile.
Time caller: Nightjar

12:30 Childrens Egg and spoon race
Referee: ????

12:40 Race 2. Approx 8 min/mile.
Time caller: ????

13:00 Childrens Sack race
Referee: ????

13:10 Race 3. Approx 6 min/mile.
Time caller: ????

13:30 Childrens 100m
Referee: ????

13:40 Adults 100m (6 min/milers with egg and spoon)
Referee: none

14:00 All tidied up and off to the changing rooms.

Equipment:
Nightjar - stopwatch (watch), stopwatch (garmin), clipboard and paper
mxhornet - stopwatch
Girlie - Apple and Date Flapjacks
Blotts Mate - Eggs and spoons
???? - Sacks

Hi Guys, I'm still alive ;-) but sadly still not running since my 'trip' down the mountain in Cyprus.

I've had 3 stitches removed from my knee and hopefully the rest might be gone by the weekend but its very doubtful that I'll actually be able to run :-(

Juggling other stuff at the moment but still hope to put in an appearance at Bury if I can as would love to cheer everyone on

Nightjar I believe it was 8 mins, 6-30 and sub 6-30 though depending on what people think is realistic we can always adjust on the day.

Oh Nightjar you are so strong an authoritative. Seems like a good running order and should help to keep the littleies attention focused.

I can bring a box of crackers, if we fancy a relay race at the end? I remember that was mentioned at the start?
Will be baking on Thursday!

Hello Cobycobs - we shall have quite a few children there I think, and the site is a good one for us to keep an eye on the children between us!

Be good to see you if you can make it! :)
