strides are what you do during a run when you go a bit fast for a bit, speeding up over so many yards and then slowing down again to the pace you were doing before, i cant remember how many yards you do of each ( speeding up, speedy, slowing down) but its in 3 equal segments.
fartlek is going fast for as long as you feel, eg. I will race to that lamp post.
Is that any good?

is that a schedule you are working to?
proper definition of strides, although it doesnt mention about splitting each set into 3.

oh my goodness, i feel a slacker now, i didnt realise you could get schedules for a 1M I was going to go as fast as i can and see how often horny, mudlark and blotts mate lap me! ( mind you thats not quite true as I will be in grp.2)
Form I believe refers to how you hold yourself and position your limbs when you are running, to not overstride, not twist body, not fling arms about too much, try and keep shoulders relaxed etc. etc. chi running thread goes into it in more depth. It helps to avoid injury and stops wasting valuable energy.
*makes mental note not to stand too near forest faerie at the finish, specially in new trainers*

RT, I had to read you post twice to make sure that you wrote 'horny, mudlark' and not 'horny mudlark'. I am sure the latter would make everyone run faster. :P

I think that I will follow FF's theorum of 1 mile legging it. It has been a long time since I threw up at the end of a run.

Long gone are the days of the casual *boak*
