What an awesome team of organisers. Lovely work with the timer DIY. Great cakes everyone. Good work booking it Moscow. Wish I'd been able to stay for pizza. OMG - we've got enough snow for a big snowman now.

No, PB, I bottled it on seeing the snowstorm where I was to be running. All downhill from here

Hiya. Thanks so much to MoscowFlyer for organising today and to DIYDiva for the warmups and excellent timings and Sarah for cow-belling us and writing it all down in sub-zero temperatures - it was fantastic. Bliddy cold, but huge fun. It was lovely to meet such a great bunch of like-minded loons!;) The photos are great - I particularly liked the yoga posing boys, as per Bertie! Definitely a good idea having one when it's a bit warmer. We've had about 4 inches of snow this evening - expect you all have! Thanks again for the milkshakes Mac - v.nice! And to everyone for lovely blueberry muffins, brownies, crispy cakes and Haribos and chocs. Sorry to duck out of Pizza Express - the kids were ready for home!

Hello again, in my rushed comments earlier I forgot to thank MF and DIYDiva and everyone else who turned up and helped, ran, cheered. Lovely to meet Ruth at last and thanks to Mac for the Yazoos and WWabbit for the muffin. My own regret is chickening out of joining the sub-6:30 group as I reckon I might just have been able to make it. Hope to do it again on a warmer day, even if it's only slightly so. |

Yes thanks to Moscow for organising and DIYDiva for timings and Sarah and brownies and rice cakes and beer and milkshakes and and and and ... great to meet you all finally. Was having too many family issues due to cold (cant see whats wrong with standing in the freezing cold and watching a load of nutters run around a track myself. But there you go!) so diddnt get many pictures but here's mine. flickr.com I obviously wasnt trying hard enough as only managed a max HR of 175 (Current max 182), although I remember coming down the back straight on the last lap into the wind and thinking that being sick before the finish line wouldnt be a good idea. God it was cold ![]() See you all at Wokingham (hee hee family not coming now ![]() |
