That’s great FDNB. I did an army event at Hawley, near Farnborough the other week. Rusty to say the least! The entries for civilians for next week’s event near Aldershot sold out in 20 minutes yesterday and I didn’t get a place ☹️

For those that live or work in London SLOW have teamed up with TfL and produced a series of ‘streetscape challenges’. It’s a score map and you have to match 12 photos to the 12 control points. (You could do this from the comfort of your armchair and using google streetview 🤣 but kind of defeats the purpose) tfl.gov.uk

We've been going a few months now up here - Claro did a series of local events that finished last week and we (AIRE) had a local event at the end of august, and EBOR did an event at skipwith over the bank holiday weekend.

There was an SYO event last weekend (which I didn't do - plus there was a limited entry) and there's a claro regional event this sun.

And I think a Lincoln urban event too.

So lots going on!

Cool, I've run a MapRun street-o nearly every weekend since June. TVOC organised a forest event for this weekend. I dithered and it sold out in a couple of days, oops.

I might have to practise some MapRun forest courses, although with GPS coverage in wooded areas being patchy that'll be a challenge.

We've found maprun is not great in the woods and on steep slopes.

I've got MapRunG on my watch, which is an improvement on the phone app (even though my phone has a pretty good GPS accuracy) - there's almost no hesitation at a control in a street-o.

I shall have to see how it goes..
