I just had a sparrowhawk in the garden, never seen one here before.

Any other morning recently the blackbirds would have been there but there's very few berries left now.

I have found out why all my downpipes are blocked! I saw a magpie depositing something into the top of one! Why would they do that? Could not see what it was but am going to have to cover them up at the top with mesh or something...

My magpies are having fun digging out lumps of moss from my roof and gutters and depositing it on the ground all around my house.

A great tit teacher-teachering like it was March. Nature is a wonderful thing and there are zero rules. I reckon ‘spring’ starts in mid-January so in six weeks or so we’ll be listening for mistle thrush etc singing away

Funny, all afternoon a magpie has been showering down debris from the gutter just above my upstairs office window. I wonder what its looking for?

Seasons have all gone a bit weird. We have blossom forming on the lilac tree in the garden, which is just plain wrong.
