Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Stonechat spotted on my adventures out to Ford Moss today. Got a blurry photo as I didn't have chance to put the big lens on.

I'd given up on Lesser Whitethroat this spring/summer but had one singing loudly on my running route this morning. Reed Warblers in usual nesting haunt.
I haven't seen a single Swift or House Martin this year!

Last day in Peaks today, and finally a great view of dippers (with accompanying grey wagtails), on little river below Kinder Scout. Curlews up top. Usual millions of willow warblers and meadow pipits.

I had to wash the front windows and wall this evening. Some birds seem to have spent the day using the bungalow as target practice. However, I was able to do it to the accompaniment of some snipe drumming in the lower fields so all’s well.

Very pleased with my shot of a swallow from this morning's visit to Gosforth Park nature reserve.
