I've changed my vote on SF1 to break the deadlock. Both massively admirable women worthy of kicking Mary Curry's academic arse.

I was swung by this about Jody Williams:

<I>"she spent eleven years on various projects related to the wars in Nicaragua and El Salvador, where, according to the Encyclopedia of Human Rights, she "spent the 1980s performing life-threatening human rights work."

I'm disappointed about Nadia Murad Basee Taha not making the final. But that was a massively strong semi.

THere we go then.

Jody Williams, (born October 9, 1950, Putney, Vermont, U.S.), American activist who helped found the International Campaign to Ban Landmines (ICBL). In 1997 she and the campaign were named corecipients of the Nobel Prize for Peace 7 - 29 Marie Curie, who became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person — man or woman — to win the award twice. With her husband Pierre Curie, Marie's efforts led to the discovery of polonium and radium and, after Pierre's death, the further development of X-rays. The famed scientist died in 1934 of aplastic anemia likely caused by exposure to radiation

We only have one bronze medallist because, it you recall, Marie Curie got through to the semis twice.

This is going to be a headache come SuperDeath, although it will be a blessing if we get a combativité qualifier
