Also slight sideline, but BBC Radio Three will play the entire Neil Gaiman and BBC Orchestra thing that I saw a couple of weeks ago on 23 December 7:30 to 10:30pm. This includes a reading from Good Omens by David Tennant.
I always get a bit sad around this time of year when I realise there won't be any more Pterry books in my Christmas pile.

There are still several that I haven't read for fear of them being terrible. Including the third in the Going Postal series - I loved the first two and haven't read the third for reasons previously stated.

Someone (it might have been Stephen Briggs, q.v.) did Adora Belle Dearheart with an Ulster accent. That was a genius idea.

Me too Greppers. Exactly that.

I’ve also got but not read Unseen Academicals.

Blimey. That's scary. Unseen Academicals is also on my 'not read' list.

I thought I hadn't read it, but it's returning to me like a cheese-induced dream

Yes, I never really got on with Moist van Lipwig either. Watch, Witches and Death are more my bag. I'm thinking of a complete read through at some point.

Death was my favourite until I read the Watch.

Snuff was alright, less finely honed I think- the social commentary was a bit obvious in parts. I guess he was aware that time was running out and he couldn't spend as long tweaking the fine details. Same with Shepherd's crown but more so - really felt unfinished in parts, though of course it stall had me crying my eyes out.

I've also not got to Unseen Academicals yet, but I embarked on a full chronological readthrough at the beginning of the year that's had me filling in some gaps (like Eric, which I'd always overlooked) so it'll come round soon enough.

I stalled out for a while (and got over excited when Jingo arrived and skipped ahead to it) but have just finished Small Gods (again) so it's on to... :checks list: Lords and Ladies.

I've also still got the Science of Discworld books to look forward to - I hadn't realised until quite recently that there was some original story content in them as well as tangential sciency stuff.

Not snuff, silly Raemond, Raising Steam.

They're the two I have that don't match the rest of the set, so I always seem to confuse them despite them not really being in any way similar.
