As long as it doesn't encourage all the awful little stone towers that are littering beaches around the world.
The occasional art piece is lovely though, I particularly like that circle.

Well the recce at the weekend was anything but dull. Weather was changeable, my bus load started in pouring rain, then it was clear by Roehead. Could see that the Helvellyn range above 750 metres had fresh snow. Then it was cold, wet and windy over High Cop. Sunny along by the reservoir. Then from about half way up Garburn Pass solid heavy rain all the way back to Ambleside.

Not wrong FF. My last two visits to High CopLow Cop have been miserable affairs.

And is the bracken late growing this year? The drop from Low Cop to the reservoir was really different, as it was clear.

The bracken is definitely late growing this year, we were chatting about this only last week.

I can remember in the early years when the path through the bracken to the bridge was far from obvious. Now it's a motorway. With signposts.
