Homer. One in shorts, the other two of us in full waterproofs. We had a plan for a longer day out, but weren't out for much longer.

Yup, one guy in shorts with legs like steel and two other folk in waterproofs. Looked like you were running very strong!

The shorts sort of gave it away :-)

Homer... One guy in shorts with legs like steel, one woman in waterproofs with legs like steel and me hanging on for dear life. It's a great descent from the col between Base Brown and Green Gable.

The other two went up Bessyboot on the way back to the car in Rosthwaite but I'd had enough in the cold by then.

Were you in the group we passed after we'd hit the path that heads down from Styhead? Hope you had a good day out, weather notwithstanding.

Is it a nice route, Gromit? I might fancy it for September. I'm too out of condition to do anything on the tops.

That was us. Supposed to be a leader training day, most of us fine but one 'leader' came out without blinking waterproofs! I'm sure you can guess the rest.

Great running by you guys - impressive stuff on a beast of a day

Hi jaqdaw, it’s a lovely route, slightly annoying towards the end (beginning in Sept as it’ll be anti clockwise) where they have obviously plotted simply to add distance rather than scenery etc but very well organised and good checkpoints etc. I’ll be back next May 👍
