If there's a Wilne 10k this year, it's dead flat (okay, 3m odd elevation from highest to lowest point). Times a bit down in 2012 due to weird humid weather, but the flattest 10k I've done.

Fradley doesn't have a full UKA licence so if you're bothered about any PB appearing on Power of Ten then you'd be disappointed. Plus they don't offer prize money if that's something you look at too.

Dave- Rochdale looks good... I like the idea of midweek races.

Carlos - Wilne certainly looks flat!

Nelly,Rochdale always has a good atmosphere although not scenic and a sting in the tail, but pretty quick with plenty of time to train for. Also plenty just under the magic 40:00.

About This Thread

Can anyone recommend any 10ks to target that meet the following criteria?
- reasonable sized field at sub-40min pace,
- say between April and September,
- within about 1.5 hours drive of Altrincham,
- not extortionately expensive
