I too have seen Alastair McGowan on the train. He was then waiting outside WH Smiths and I saw separately Christopher Biggins, who must have been who he waiting for.
Seb Coe. Various England cricketers on numerous occasions. Austin Healey. Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys and Richard Ayoade from the IT Crowd (actually they did not make it as far as getting on the train as there were cancellations and I think they must have been to get a cab instead).

I haven't seen any famous people on the train but Jeremy Paxman was rather flirty and charming when I bumped into him in the City once. I was wearing short shorts that may have helped.
On the subject of not quite being chatted up by celebrities, I reckon Boris Becker would have had a go if I had been blonde when I saw him in a nightclub once. He was having a go at anything female and blonde that night.

How could I forget the London to Edinburgh journey sat opposite Gail Porter as she had one glass of wine after another and eventually just asked for the whole bottle.

I once stood in a tube carriage right next to Stephen Fry. Does that count? He is VERY big.

Used to see Ken Livingstone quite regularly on the Jubilee Line (does that count as a train?) when I lived in West Hampstead.

England Rugby legend Martin Johnson.
Jarvis Cocker.
Two of the male cast of Coupling on the tube. Not at the same time, but bizarrely in successive weeks.
Tony Blair getting off a train as I was getting on one on a neghbouring platform.
Notice I put them in order of how highly I regard them all.

Rory McGrath and Bill Oddie (both more than once but never together) littering up the first class compartment on the Cambridge-London train.
Peter Tatchell in standard class on the same route.
