I fall over very rarely off-road but have had a couple of unpleasant tumbles on tarmac. I don’t run on road now to mean anything

Yes, have faceplanted (literally) twice. Once on an uneven paving slab; more spectacularly, on nothing but fatigue. That one landed me in A&E to have my eyebrow glued and broke my glasses

All the time once the grass gets long - my party trick is standing on the top of a drooping bit of long grass with one foot to make a perfect trip hazard for the other foot |

Last fall was November when I tripped on a kerb. Ive fallen twice in races, once was as close to my doorstep as any race has ever gone, the other was during VLM 2010. I have had countless other falls including one that led to 3 years of injury problems and another run into a road sign took half of my forehead off ! |

Yup. All the time. Once, quite spectacularly, over a dalmatian. That one caused me no end of bother with infected wounds.

More than a spot of bother then?

I fall over quite a lot and both last January and this January had to go to A&E with bad knee cuts. I try and avoid running on tree rooty or stony terrain.

Yep, all the time - more on-road than off-road. These were both from the same fall not long after I started running: ...and I was out for 3-4 months with a sprained ankle from a similar fall a year or two later: |
