Did anybody do the Ennerdale 50K, or 25K last year? If so, was it any good? I'm looking for an alternative (in October) to the Jedburgh Ultra which seems to have sold out. |

Assuming that means nobody knows anything about it? |

Hi jackdaw, I did the 50k last year and really enjoyed it, although I found the trail really tough. I think you're from around there somewhere (mentioned on another thread) so are probably used to that kind of terrain ![]() |

It's not particularly hilly though. |

Thanks liliaicha, I don't mind rough ground, and wouldn't mind flat(tish) for a change. |

V'rap did the 25k last year. This *might* be a link to her blog for the event http://www.fetcheveryone.com/blog-view.php?id=4996&y=2014&m=10#blog321967 |

Thanks, that's exactly what I wanted. Really very tempted to do it now. |

I did the 25k a couple of years ago. Very nice route and flat for the lakes. There is one technical bit on the far side of the lake which was a bit rough but not too long. Good event |

Yup, I did the 25km last year. The course starts off smooth and easy on good trails, then you're sent on to singletrack and teetering over the rocks at water's edge. Although it's flat, that technical section slowed me up. But it's quite fun, and reasonable value mile for mile. I was glad not to be doing another lap. |
