Yeh for me a smart business understands its customers, listens to them and provides them with a quality product. This should be no different for running event organisers.

You can still provide the quality experience expected and deserved and still make a nice profit.

Thanks Barry, that's good to know, as I'm considering entering the Scottish Half Marathon, and certainly wouldn't if they hadn't changed tune. Possibly the Highland Perthshire Half on the same day will win out, although I do like look of the SHM course (contrary to all the naysayers).
