Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

My 2009 medal is an Albert Bartlett one but there was no expo so no bag of taters. Come to think of it there was no fricking water either.

Off topic but on the subject of sponsorship, Belfast has the "Deep River Rock* Belfast City Marathon" and they still serve water in plastic cups - despite repeated requests/complaints/pleas from runners year after year.

(* Deep River Rock is a locally-produced bottled water.)

Circa 10,000 marathon entries at £50 +, c. 10,000 half marathon entries at £30 gives in the region of £800,000. Add to this the 5 & 10and I am sure we can easily see £1m +
