Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

After calf strain panic the Physio today reckons I should be ok although he almost made me jump off the table. Will have to forget pb plans though.
Chuffed to be back in it albeit I'll be a little slower, thanks again for the advice all!

Cuddy, I was convinced that my wheels had come off on Monday but, having given myself a jolly good talking to, have accepted that it's almost certainly the result of lots of long training runs and that when the day comes all will go well.

Had a really bad last long run on Sunday, Cuddy, but have convinced myself that it was a combination of mental and physical tiredness. Now my taper has officially started I feel much better.

Feeling ok - last long run tomorrow - then taper time. Last Sunday's 16m run was a bit sore - some torso chaffing and I picked up a couple of stingers (chaffed nips). That's because it was so wet and I got core-soaked in a damp mist on the first couple of miles. Lanacane at the ready now.

Did a duathlon this morning: 1 mile run, 4 mile bike, 1 mile run. Loved it and my legs felt speedy until I got off the bike.

Hi Mave. I'll join you on feeling pretty shattered. The sniffles are almost gone but I'm still coughing and just feeling knackered. Doing short runs and I don't feel too bad during them but they just seem to knock me out afterwards. I've been comfort eating and slapped on 5lbs in two weeks :-O Edinburgh will definitely be a just finish race!

Been checking the forecast nervously, it's apparently going to get a lot warmer.
