That's kind of what was putting me off the Portobello area. I thought the HM might make it a bit busy. Either Selkirk and a hire car, or something else in city centre then. I'll get something sorted.

The normal buses are great for getting back to town and honestly not too far (a wee stretch). The queues and delays in the organised buses are infamous. I’d definitely stick to an LRT bus.

Never mind the prepaid buses. There are corporation buses right outside the finish area.

I’m excited to revisit the marathon again this year.
I loved the new route last year (versus the half previous years, but it’s the same first 9 miles)

I ran with friends last year for their first. This time it’ll be MY time to shine hopefully!

It's been a bit quiet in here for a while. How's everyone getting on with their training? Nearly taper time :D

My journey has been a bit tough due to the reappearance of perinnial tendonitis from an old ankle injury. Slowly building up the mileage again and still hoping to get to the start line but my goals have been revised.

If anyone know anyone who wants to buy my place (you cant transfer at this point) or my train ticket London to Edinburgh (out on sat 2.30pm and back sunday at 5pm) then they are going cheap. My mojo after running Manchester is dead. I overestimated my capacity as a runner :-)
