I wasn't paying those prices in the park...2 steak and gravy pies, cheese and onion crisps and 4 cans of tenets from nisa shop over the road, change from 8 quid, then couple pints at leven hall arms watching till the final runner went past

Well done everyone, great to see so many Fetchies running well. For me it went better than I could have ever expected. It was starting to get a bit hot towards the end but other than that it was perfect. After everything I had heard before, I was really impressed with the organization and great support along the course

Finished in 5:08. Did the first half in 2:18 and then had a horrendous second half. Sunburnt now, sore feet. Resolved to never do anything as silly as a marathon again. 2 days later I'm thinking about the training program and how I can avoid blowing up like that again in the future.

As for the heat...I grew up in Brisbane, Australia and I haven't been hot like that for a long time!

Well done Katie. My running club cheered you on from the Levenhall arms. We must've cheered you to Mr Parks.

Fantastic effort Quandong.

Ah great, thanks! The support was really good on the course. Back to the drawing board for me now, think I'll focus on my 5km and 10km times over the summer.
