a little birdy, who sidelines in the rentboy business (;)), tells me that Edinburgh may clash with Windermere next year  (there goes my potential plan to do both) - and even worse, if it really is on May 22nd, it won't coincide with the kids' school holidays

I hope that little birdy is wrong as I was hoping to run Windermere then support at Edinburgh as I did this year ... or even run Windermere then run the half at Edinburgh before joining the well oiled machine that is Santa's Fetchpoint .... time to petition the organisers me thinks

I think the organisers are trying to avoid the May bank holiday as it was 2 years ago. I can see why as the costs of accomodation in the 'burgh shoots through the roof and may turn a lot of people away, especially if they are running the half marathon. It's a lot of money to fork out for a Londoner to come to Edinburgh on May bank holiday to run a half marathon. The week before is actually a good idea as I would imagine the hotels and B&Bs are slightly cheaper than normal due to waiting for the holiday weekend. Or it could be that the Edinburgh council/people in charge have told the organisers to make it a week earlier to keep Edinburgh revenues up for both weekends..... |

got my photo of myself in the post yesterday ,postmark on the envelope said it was airmailed in from new zealand !!!may be why the postage and package was £4 !!!! its a small world
