Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Two further thoughts about today’s run. First, one of the great things about having two divisions was that it gave the slow coaches a chance to watch some good running. Since I have taken up running again I have been focusing on developing an efficient style that will minimize risk of injury, so I was watching with special interest. Ally and Boycie, you were both awesome, but I think the prize for the most graceful runner should go to Raging Bull. She reminded at bit of Gordon Pirie (one of my heroes) though Pirie used to grimace a bit and Raging Bull looked totally composed.

My other thought is a bit more self-centred. In the slow-coach race I thought we slowed down a lot in the second and third laps; in the final lap I felt like a marathon runner hitting the wall at 20 miles. At the finish, I was in no fit state to hear my time, but I thought if was probably about 6:30. I had no idea what to expect, so I was really pleased with that. However, Barky, I note that you posted 6:20 for your time, so I would be really interested to know what my time was. Did someone write it down?

Think my time was 7:07, can you confirm? Pretty chuffed with that considering how terrible I'd felt most of the week - roll on the next 'un, I'm going to be breathing down your necks!!!!
