Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Barky, thanks very much for organizing this. It was great to meet everyone; and also fun to get back on the track again after a few decades. At least it was fun until the back straight of the final lap. The final three hundred metres was a bit less fun, but it felt good to see that finishing line. Last time I raced a mile it was a water-logged grass track so Moorways was great.

So thanks every one. I look forward to meeting up again on a slightly warmer day. OS, I hope your little one is OK.

May thanks Barky for the organisation. Top event and great to meet a few more Fetchies.
Sorry not to meet OS - hope the little one's on the mend.

Well done Firestarter - glad I've managed to prod the embers back into flame ;)

Cheers Barky for the organisation, and well done. Enjoyed it apart from the ten minutes after I had finished when I was convinced I was about to die - and wouldn't have minded if I had!

Nice to meet you all - Firestarter, Ally2, Boycie, Thornton Runner, DawnieBob, Raging Bull, Racing Snail; although I swear I've seen you all somewhere before...

thanks Barky for the organisation, certificates and chocolate. My pulse is now finally below 100 and my lungs have rentered my body. It was nice to see so many people finish in front of myself, my OH and children ;-)
Thanks to all you Hermits for making it a special occasion, and i will see you all at the Long Eaton 5 next June (earliest plug i've managed for it so far) if not sooner.

T'was good to meet you too Yuelity, and all the others, I think it's fair to say that everyone enjoyed the event.

June 5 will be placed on the club calendar. And since we're plugging races, if you fancy a good, if slightly hilly 10K, then keep Sept 14th Open next year for our open race(provided that doesn't clash with anything major). We had quite a number of Fetchies there when we held it for the first time this year, and hope to see some more in 2008.........How's that for an early plug..:-)
