Earphones

The ones he currently has has a cable that is slightly too short and the earbuds keep falling out. My friend doesn't have a huge budget to work with.

There are many similar alternatives that would be fine. A more elite version would be the Sennheisers that have a band that sits behind the neck, they are a good fit but get destroyed by sweat much quicker (and they're over 30 quid) so for running I'd buy a cheaper version. The quality is dependent on the device you are using and o be honest none of them really justifies Sennheisers.
