One of my top 10 times but not as quick as the Cornish for me even though it's an easier course - not a PB course & can be brutally windy ! But it's road & not many options in the first 3 months of the year.

Chris - dont have that kind of speed in me these days - looking for sub 3.45 (chasing 50 of those).

Paul - what's planned the day before ?

Jack Brook's 60th.

I reckon this was my best ever marathon, 3:04 here 4 years ago against the hideous winds was easily better than my 3:02 PB from a flat FLM. So I guess it could be quick but just doesn't feel it to me.

I had a good one in 2009 in rather windy conditions.

I liked this one, found the last 5miles hard going and the finish is uphill to the hotel, but yes great views of St Ives and I think even I
managed a sub 3:45. :) Clashes with the Stinger next year though, which I'd already entered, and for some reason the Duchy is a week or 2 earlier in 2012!!

Easy pb course, broke my London time by 6 minutes here, and could walk afterwards (something I couldn't do after London), despite less training miles and a disastrous build up involving health issues. But yes the weather can decide how quick it is, a coastal wind could destroy any chance of a pb.
