Problem with being a fan and reading an article like that is you start believing the hype. Those were very good lines. |

Disappointed that people have noticed Paul George isn’t quite as good as we pretend he is…

Paul George is ok but yeah you probably need a better number two player.

Okay, I can calm down. I thought read 'Bill Barnwell'. As things stand The Clip get Dallas, which is an improvement over Portland. The play-in tournament in the east seems a waste of time unless your lot need the match practice. |

My lot? We get to rest. Play in tournament is 7-10? Dallas more scary than Portland surely? |

I can't see Philly being troubled by any of them though. Isn't there a chance that Doncic will pick up a suspension and miss a game? |

But that's going to be exactly how the play in tournament works most seasons. The 8 seed is unlikely to trouble the 1 seed. The point of the play in tournament is some early games that matter and some casual fan enjoyment as you pointed out previously, not an actual chance of winning. The play in tournament in the west is a waste of time as well. Lakers are down there due to injury but would be in the playoffs without the play in. If they were 9, 10 then it would be a different story. The play in tournament isn't what makes the Lakers a dangerous low seed. Yes, potentially re Doncic. Expect he'll tone it down though. |

As an aside, I learned yesterday that as a franchise GSW are worth more than the Lakers. This surprised me a great deal.

NFL schedule release tonight (early hours GMT I think). Lots of it's been "leaked" but I think it's confirmed that season opens with Bucs hosting Cowboys.
