Not had much DOMS recently. Not because I am supper fit, but because I'm not working out enough!!

Just before Christmas I joined in a Club circuit session and was crippled for about 4 days.

Although supper fit might be more accurate!

Sides of upper back hurt today - either from swimming or from shifting wood yesterday. Or both.

I too could count myself as supper fit, cackleberry!

A month or two back, after a particularly *challenging* PT session, I spent the following two mornings sitting on the bed crying at the pain induced in my thighs by trying (and failing) to get a pair of tights on.

Upped my long run and did it in a gale this morning, and going down stairs is comical.

Usually after every long run. Obviously a lot worse after a marathon as I find it harder to sleep as a result.

Is this odd? A few times lately I have exercised in the evening -say7PM- and had painful DOMS-like symptoms in bed between about 11 PM and 4 in the morning but when I get up I'm not too bad. Everything I read suggests that is when I should be starting pain not finishing it.

Perhaps I'm not putting the right amount of effort in for standard DOMS.

I have some in my legs and chest today after yesterday's PT session - the first one for a few weeks. I'm definitely feeling my bum! :-o

Sorry for tge delay...

You will always get some soreness after a hard session of anything but the main reasons you will suffer are unfamiliar movements/routines or if you contract eccentrically a lot as this is when the tearing of fibres occurs is at it's greatest.

:) Nice to see you back Gooner. :)

Not for skiing if I have a leg flush before I go. :)
