Welcome to Fetch! There probably isn't a quick recovery. What does your physio say? |

I think it depends on the severity of the injury. How did you come by your diagnosis? Best person to ask would be the person who has seen the MRI or done the scope. Clinical assessment/examination may lead to the diagnosis, but might not tell you much about the extent or severity. |

how do you know it is cartilage ? I am no expert, but I think am operation may be required if its cartilage. Be careful though, I went to a GP then physio with a sore knee, didnt hurt when I ran, just when I fully straightened the leg. Physio ordered no running and had me referred to a surgeon. Surgeon after an MRI concluded nothing wrong to explain why it was sore and said I should start running again. I missed 7-8 weeks running as a result, but it got better of its own accord I would suggest seeing an expert for the correct advice. |

As everyone else has mentioned you need to get a proper diagnosis and possibly MRI to determine extent of damage. Go to a good physio first though.
